Pacific Northwest Trackers

Welcome

Who We Are Upcoming Events Membership

The Pacific Northwest Trackers Association is a non-profit organization in the State of Washington. We are also a unit member of the King County Search and Rescue Association (KCSARA).

Our Mission:

1. To seek and promote excellence in the skills of tracking.
2. To utilize those skills to aid in the location of lost or missing people when needed.
3. To assist law enforcement in situations when tracking skills can be applied.

Background:

The PNW Trackers Association began in Fall 1979 as a small group of beginning trackers. The group continued to meet on a regular basis to improve their tracking skills and decided to get involved with search and rescue. In 1982, the association became an accepted volunteer unit for KCSARA. Our members now receive training from Joel Hardin Professional Tracking Services to upgrade skills.

Pacific Northwest Trackers Association
is accepting applications through Dec. 31
for new members who would like to join us
the following year. The deadline is steadfast to allow time for your King County Search & Rescue background check and other prerequisites to process. Accepted applicants will then need to attend an evening Orientation plus an
8 hour Saturday Training in February.

Contact us to receive a new member packet and with any questions.

Due to the nature of our work Unit Members must meet certain requirements. These requirements reflect the various levels of state, county and Unit responsibilities that are required to perform search and rescue in the State of Washington and King County.

The Pacific Northwest Trackers Association recognizes two categories of membership: Active Members, and Associate Members.
