The Pacific Northwest Trackers Association is a non-profit organization in the State of Washington. We are also a unit member of the King County Search and Rescue Association (KCSARA).
Our
Mission:
1. To seek and promote excellence in the skills of tracking.
2. To utilize those skills to aid in the location of lost or missing people when needed.
3. To assist law enforcement in situations when tracking skills can be applied.
Background:
The PNW Trackers Association began in Fall 1979 as a small group of beginning trackers. The group continued to meet on a regular basis to improve their tracking skills and decided to get involved with search and rescue. In 1982, the association became an accepted volunteer unit for KCSARA. Our members now receive training from Joel Hardin Professional Tracking Services to upgrade skills.
